Founded in the summer of 2023 by Junior W. Smith, Life Rock Air was born out of a growing need for increased black representation in the realm of Christian radio in Ontario. Junior, a native of Jamaica who moved to Canada in 2011, brings a wealth of experience and passion to this venture.

Junior's journey in radio began as a freelance radio announcer at Love101FM, where he covered every shift, leaving a unique and lasting impression on his listeners. His distinctive voice and engaging personality made him a standout in the radio industry.

After settling in Canada, Junior continued to captivate audiences as a radio host, presenting "Reflections" and "Island Style" on JOY 1250 (now Joy Radio). His popularity, particularly within the black community, grew with every broadcast. However, since his departure from Joy in 2018, there has been a noticeable void in terms of representation for Christian music with a Caribbean/African influence.

Junior briefly reconnected with his audience when he hosted "Inspiration Saturday" on G98.7, which regrettably was sold in 2022. Throughout his journey, Junior's passion for media expanded to television, where he became a recognizable face on "100 Huntley Street" on Yes TV. Furthermore, he serves as a pastor at Ebenezer Holiness Church of God in Toronto and is also a recording worship minister. He intimately understands the challenges faced by Christian creatives, particularly in the absence of a structured music industry in Canada.

Over the years, many individuals have voiced the urgent need for a radio station that provides a platform for Christian artists and local ministries to share their messages. They've sought a voice that represents the underserved communities. In response to this clarion call, Junior, in partnership with EHC Toronto, initiated Rock Air 101.

Life Rock Air 101 is more than just a radio station; it's a 24/7 online platform dedicated to fulfilling our mission. We aim to create a space within the black community that supports local artists, churches, and events, enabling them to reach a broader audience. But we can't do it alone; we need your support to expand and grow this endeavor.

Thank you for joining us on this exciting journey. Stay connected, and don't forget to visit our website at www.rockair101.com. Together, we can make a meaningful impact!
